The purpose of The Wings Like Eagles Foundation (The Foundation) is to support distinct community organizations that engage in the enhancement of child welfare, education, the arts, the spirit, the advancement of liberty, and general community goodwill.
The Foundation will serve all the communities of its founding corporation, Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc – which include but are not limited to, Tucson, Casa Grande, Buckeye, Flagstaff, Holbrook and Globe. Its directors and the employees of the Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc. (GED) will principally fund it through direct contributions.
1. Child Welfare: Child welfare in the state of Arizona is one of the leading issues and one of its greatest challenges. The Foundation seeks to continue the level of support historically initiated by GED to organizations whose aim is to enhance the welfare of needy children throughout the state.
2. Education: Education is the cornerstone of any healthy community. It is necessary and forthright for foundations of all kinds to support educational initiatives, private and public elementary and high schools, as well as higher education. The Wings Like Eagles Foundation will look to support the advancement of proven educational initiatives in the communities it serves through direct giving or targeted grants.
3. The Arts: Support of local artistic achievement enhances every community. The Foundation aims to fund the arts in the areas of the theatre, music and the direct support of individual artistic expression.
4. The Spirit: Throughout time individuals have sought the enhancement and growth of the soul. The Foundation will seek to support religious and spiritual institutions whose aims are to assist in the journey of life.
5. Liberty: Liberty is not just about freedom. It is about self-awareness, self-reliance and self-governance. The Foundation will support those organizations that seek to advance the cause of liberty in the United States.
6. General Community Goodwill: From time to time, organizations will petition the Foundation for assistance in their endeavors. The Foundation will consider a variety of requests, provided that each request coincides with the mission and vision of the Foundation.
